Branson’s Nantucket Receives Award from the Free Masons
December 11, 2009
Branson’s Nantucket is once again in the news for their philanthropic endeavors. Most recently the resort was recognized for donating one thousand dollars to the local Freemason Lodge in Branson Missouri. Herb Terril, Past Master of Branson Lodge presented the check to Geoff Petters, Operations Manager of Branson’s Nantucket. “Everyone at Branson’s Nantucket is proud to be a part of giving to the less fortunate in our own backyard, especially during the holiday season. The Mason’s annual Christmas basket campaign in Branson has made such a positive impact in our local community since its inception, and all of us at Branson’s Nantucket are grateful to be able to support their efforts” Petters explained.
Branson’s Nantucket received a certificate of appreciation for their help in this worthy cause from the local Freemasons chapter. Management representatives from Branson’s Nantucket were informed of the need for support of the Christmas basket campaign from local authorities who felt they were in a position to help. As Terrill explained, “The gift baskets are filled with all the necessary food items that make up a traditional holiday family dinner including fruit and treats. Since most of the families have been referred from knowledgeable sources, the baskets are generally specific enough to fit each individual family.”
Mr. Terrill went on to explain, “We really strive to include toys specific to the age and sex of the children in that particular family also. Or, if that type of specific information is unknown, other family packages include the full meal plus coloring books, crayons, activity toys, fruit, sweets and many other traditional holiday offerings. Everyone deserves that little something special on Christmas morning.”
These baskets are given to the families in Stone and Taney counties that are having trouble making ends meet this year. When Kevin Knasel, owner of Branson’s Nantucket, was told of this worthy program, he did not hesitate to make a personal donation and also encouraged his staff to support whatever local charities they prefer. “Nothing is more true to Christmas than the spirit of giving. It doesn’t matter how small or how large the gift or how you go about sharing your good fortunate, just the act of giving is the true celebration of the season.”
Branson’s Nantucket offers previews of their resort beginning at their welcome center located at the entrance to Stormy Point. These vacation seminars are scheduled Monday through Saturday and include not only an overview of membership at the most requested five star residence resort in Branson but also a small glimpse inside the most luxurious lakeside residences available at Branson’s Nantucket.
