Branson Missouri resort Branson’s Nantucket offers ongoing presentations

December 6, 2009

When the phone rang, I initially thought it was just another marketing company trying to sell us something. This time it was a resort located in Branson, Missouri called Branson’s Nantucket Resorts. They offered us a weekend stay in a hotel including continental breakfast and some complimentary show tickets all for about one hundred dollars. “What’s the catch?” I asked as my husband is very skeptical about these types of offers. I was told this was a promotional offer available for taking a look at the new Branson’s Nantucket resort.

We must have been on the phone for a while because I wondered out loud why anyone would give away a deal at such a great price just for previewing a resort. It was sounding too good to be true so I asked that the girl to explain a little more. She told me that her bosses understood that my vacation time is extremely valuable and this promotion was simply a gift given in return for the time spent at their resort. It’s just a different way they spend their marketing dollars because they prefer to show off their resort and membership packages in person rather than through traditional marketing. The explanation made sense so I went ahead and booked the package for the following month.

Upon arrival in Branson, we went to their Welcome Center and received a package that included our hotel vouchers and an invitation for the next morning to see the resort. With just a little apprehension we to the resort the following morning and were greeted by an extremely pleasant and helpful young lady. There were a few other couple waiting there and as we spoke to them we found that most were on the same package we were on. After a few minutes, we were met by our host who was called Mike. He seemed like a nice fellow him and my husband spoke with him about the local hunting while I enjoyed a donut and fresh coffee. After the small talk we were brought into another room with all the other couples and they started a video presentation that explained what the deeded vacation shares are.

When the presentation was over a bus came and took us to the resort where we were completely blown away by what we saw. Now I understood why they wanted to do these presentations in person. The resort itself was incredibly beautiful with a view of Table Rock Lake that is unbelievable. It simply sold itself. We were thinking about buying a cottage on a lake back home, but once we saw the resort and understood the concept, we could no longer justify the price of the cabin.

The bus came back and we went back to the Branson’s Nantucket welcome center where Mike welcomed us at the door. As we went inside, we could feel the excitement in the room but my husband immediately told Mike that we were not going to purchase anything today because we always waited a few days before making a major purchase. Mike did not seem to mind and simply responded that the choice was ours but there were some tremendous incentives for joining today which he proceeded to show us. After some private talk between me and my husband, we decided to join that day. I never thought the phone call that night would lead us to owning vacations shares in Branson, but it did and we are very happy with our decision.
