Branson’s Nantucket Travels Through Enchanting Munich
June 22, 2010
Munich is located on the river Isar and is the capital of Bavaria, Germany. This city is called the entertainment capital for a reason, featuring a brilliant range or art galleries, excellent museums, mouth water cuisine and of course, beer! The cultural heritage of this city, along with its warm and friendly atmosphere will make any trip to this city a very memorable one.
Branson’s Nantucket suggests starting a tour to one of the many museums and art galleries found throughout the city. The Residenz Museum was formerly a royal palace and it features the works of some of Germany’s most famous artists. To get a taste of contemporary art, head over to the Pinakothek der Moderne. It is home to the likes of Kandinsky and de Kooning amongst others. Another interesting museum is the Deutches Museum in the Isar River, which displays various technological innovations and is a testament to Munich’s technological heritage. To get in touch with some of the architectural splendors of the city, head over to the Neues Rathaus, which features the famous Glockenspiel clock tower and makes an amazing photo opportunity.
Branson’s Nantucket highly recommends the Marienplatz for an unparallel shopping spree. You can find an exciting range of boutiques, shops, cafes, restaurants and street performers. Another interesting area for shopping is the Kaufingerstrasse, which is well noted for its chocolates, fashion and watches. However, when it comes to food, your best options are the Johan-Fichte-Strasse and Tantris. These restaurants feature an authentic German cuisine and a wonderful atmosphere. For a more subtle experience head over to the famous Englishcher Garten, which is a 900-acre parch that was created in the 18th century. In addition to great nature trails and serene lakes, there are four beer gardens as well.
Branson’s Nantucket cannot imagine a trip to Munich without experiencing the exciting nightlife found here. The best nightclubs are found in Munchener Freiheit and Schwabing. To enjoy the best of Munich you need to experience every part of it and that is the best thing about vacationing here.
